If you use Autodesk Revit – I need your help!
Autodesk have given us some great tools to share 2D and 3D models between Inventor and Revit. I would love to try them out – but I don’t have Revit 😞
I have created a 3D model of a Noguchi table in Inventor and exported it in a number of formats - IPT, DWG, STP & ADSK. Please feel free to download the files, try them out in Revit and let me know what you think. You can find out more here:

Thanks in advance to anyone that cares to share!
Paul

it came in pretty well as an .adsk file

Sweet! Nice one Darren 🙂
What sort of 3D content would be useful or Interesting to you? What kind of stuff do you find it difficult to model In Revit that might be better tackled in Inventor?
Have you checked out the BIM family toolkit on Labs?
Thanks very much for helping me with my experiment!

Hey guys, i was intrested in this article as our company is currently doing similar tests. Were currently creating the same product (tap) in Inventor and exporting as adsk to Revit, and recreating the tap natively in Revit.
Then were testing the two files:
- Native in Revit vs Import from ADSK
i have heard a few bad things from Revit users on ADSK imports such as file slowdowns, large filesize, bugs and crashes.
Will let you know of my findings!
